About the Fellowship
Established in 2001, the Artrain Maggie & Bob Allesee Fellowship was created to provide recent graduates in the fine and museum arts continued learning experiences. Allesee Fellows have the unique opportunity to see the country, meet thousands of people, connect with artists and gain valuable work skills. Fellows continue to develop their professional and artistic skills, while broadening their knowledge of the arts, arts administration, curatorial and conservation practices.
The Fellowship is open to those who have graduated from a fine arts, art history, museum studies or arts administration program within the last 3 years, have an overall GPA of 2.5 or above and are at least 21 years old at the start of the Fellowship. The ideal candidate will be looking for a unique experience, enjoy traveling and have an interest in community education and public service.
Allesee Fellows will travel for approximately 6 consecutive months. Dependent upon the tour schedule, the Allesee Fellowship period may be subject to change. The Fellowship is a paid position that includes housing and a daily per diem.
