Endowment
A strong endowment is a common goal for many not-for-profit institutions in America including Artrain USA. Many mature and stable organizations have well-established endowments due to the generosity of thoughtful and prudent individuals.
Artrain USA’s endowment was established in 1979 by a generous gift from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation. It provides a permanent source of income for the organization. Increasing the endowment does more than create the means to meet current needs; it will help preserve the Artrain USA experience for future generations. As time passes, it is vital that the endowment continues to grow in order to provide for future expenses.
Gifts to the endowment are invested. Each year, a small percentage is used to help fund Artrain USA’s ongoing programs. The remaining income from the investments is reinvested, ensuring that donors’ gifts grow forever and that Artrain USA continues to have the resources necessary to carry out its mission of enriching lives and building communities through the arts.
Support of Artrain USA’s endowment represents a commitment to Artrain USA’s future. It is an act of faith in our mission and our ability to remain a vibrant art institution for America.
You may support the endowment with an outright donation or a deferred gift such as a bequest. These gifts, also called planned gifts or estate gifts, are recognized with membership in the Everlasting PARTNERS Society of Artrain USA.
