Become a Board Member
Artrain has a national board of directors. Its board development goals are to recruit accomplished, influential and diverse (gender, cultural and geographic) board members with a passion for Artrain’s mission. Artrain is undergoing a significant transition that, with strong leadership, has the potential to expand significantly the organization and its programming reach. Board members are needed to strengthen leadership, guide the transformation and build awareness and networks of support while building upon Artrain's 40 years of experience.

Ideal Artrain board candidates will embrace and support Artrain’s mission of using the power of the arts to transform lives, organizations and communities; be excited about Artrain’s programs and services and driven to achieve the organization’s full potential; be of reputation, having earned the respect of corporate, community, government and philanthropic leaders and be willing to access their circle of influence to assist Artrain in achieving its mission, program and financial goals; believe in “giving back to the community” both personally and through their professional leadership roles; be willing to make Artrain one of their top three giving priorities; be able to commit a minimum of 2 - 4 hours per month; have a personal passion for arts and culture; and want to share their expertise in any of the following areas: entrepreneurism, fund-raising, finance, public relations/marketing, law, technology, arts, education, human resources, energy, government or the transportation industry.
